Cat getting examined by staff

Wellness Exams

We believe that preventive care is important in the health of your cat. Regular exams are a vital part of your cat’s healthcare plan. We recommend all cats receive a yearly physical exam, though more frequent exams may be preferred depending upon the age of your cat and his or her physical health.

Vaccinations

Vaccines are products designed to trigger protective immune responses and prepare the immune system to fight future infections from disease-causing agents. Vaccines stimulate the immune system’s production of antibodies that identify and destroy disease-causing organisms that enter the body.

Why should I vaccinate my cat?

  • Vaccinations prevent many cat illnesses.
  • Vaccinations can help avoid costly treatments for diseases that can be prevented.
  • Vaccinations prevent diseases that can be passed between animals and also from animals to people.
  • Diseases prevalent in wildlife can infect unvaccinated cats.
  • In many areas, local or state ordinances require certain vaccinations of household cats.
Cat getting checked for microchip

Microchipping

It’s estimated that 1 in 3 cats will go missing at some point in their life. Our hospital uses microchips, which are small rice-sized devices that are placed under your cat’s skin. Once placed, a microchip acts as your cat’s permanent ID storing important information such as your address and phone number. If your cat is lost, any veterinary hospital, animal shelter, or animal control can scan your cat with a microchip reader, and quickly return your cat to you.

Unused viles for labs

Laboratory

When your cat is sick, you want results fast. Our hospital is equipped with a full suite of in-house diagnostic laboratory machines giving us the ability to run complete blood counts, chemistry panels, and urinalysis while you wait. With results quickly in hand, our doctors can then make the best recommendations for treating your cat.
